Way back in 1996, this was an intro piece for Sun Microsystems’ new network computer. The image above shows how it went flat. The sales person on the project told me that at a meeting with the client, both the actual device and the pop-up were on a board room table, and one of the executives from Sun confusedly picked up the pop-up thinking it was the actual computer, one of the more flattering incidents in my career.
